The italian Frogmen
Introduction
This Course Covers the following:
a. The political events relating to World War I--how and why underwater guerilla warfare got started.
b. The turbulent political and social events leading to World War II--how and why underwater guerrilla waders remained the secret weapon of the Italian nary.
c. The political events relating to World War II--how and why the 10th Light Flotilla, with its individual frogmen, was able to gain antl to transfer control of the Mediterranean Sea from the English to the Germans and to the Italians.
Because of secrecy, not much information has been available on this type of warfare. Thanks to authors like William Schofield and P.J. Garisella, the story is finally being told. This course is based mainly on their book, Frogmen First Battles, which now includes an addendum on Sergio Deng, a surviving frogman.
