Observations in Poetry and Pictures

On Love

Cambridge - May 17, 2004

I remain gazed at them.
At the edge of the incline
infinity stays in perfect fous:
un-emboldened,
beyond reach,
and un-enlightened
to the why of their scampering.
Only the heart responds
to their gorgeous color;
mysenses are further filled
when they return to their nest,
to the brief frenetic chirping
oftheir hatched brood.
Suddenly,
in one inebriated moment,
infinity
all
but disappears!
