Naples (Napol) is situated on the west coast of Southem Italy, at the foot of Mount Vesuvius. It is the capital of Campania, the region named by the Romans for its beautiful and fertile countryside.

Naples' mild climate and abundant sunshine make it a paradise for residents and visitors alike. During the time of the Roman Empire, many of the Roman elite would vacation in Naples. The bright reflections on the azure water of the Gulf has helped give rise to the popular saying, "See Naples and die" (Vedi Napoli e poi moon).
